how does OO stable?

Without really testing I have always though that Osage Orange a/k/a OO would not be a good wood to stabilize with acrylic (as opposed to CJ).
No excuse here. I have quite a bit of OO and like to work with it. For sure, I'm going to test now.
But, others experience with OO and stabilizing would be appreciated.

This would be my thinking too. Curtis has said in the past that some wood just won't stabilize.

The OO I've worked with is like a rock. I've not found it to need stabilizing.

I have stabilized lots of Osage with good results. I don't have the weight gain % for Osage, but I know that it cures up. Here is an example of a finished bangle with Osage. Its the one on the right;

I stabilize bangle stock just as a matter of good practice for bangles, but I am sure pen making is different.
