How do you keep your shirt pocket from drooping when you have one of your pens in it? Short of using a slimline what pens do you think I could use that might not cause it to droop? The picture shows a elegant beauty in the pocket, it's to short and causes the pocket to droop. If a pen is to heavy it causes the pocket to droop. The slimline is the perfect length and perfect weight, but come on it's a slimline. I'd like to carry something that's a little more flashy. This may be a silly question, but I'd like to carry a pen without my pocket drooping.

Just accept that you are a geek and not a "suit".

Roy's suggestion below was going to be my first suggestion but I just had to go with the above one.!

Seriously, buy a can of spray starch. It doesn't take but a couple of minutes to bring an iron up to heat. I have done this before on collars on shirts that LOML warned me about not being "wash n wear."

It is very easy.

If you take a size L, buy your shirts in size M

No more droop.

ps, if you button the top button, your face will turn blue and your eyes
will bug out. DAMHIKT

.. but your pen will look GREAT!

I knew I was opening myself up to some really creative answers, so let's get this one out of the way.

Become barrel chested. Your shirt will fit so tight it can't droop.

It's probably easier to just push the pen as close to the side stitch as possible though.

One way would be a nice, clear plastic pocket protector. Some people like them and I see them from time to time. My wife, however, promised me a divorce if she ever sees me wearing one. No, I do not hide one for just in case.
Second choice would be not wear shirts with pockets.
I have some shirts that have a pen pocket separated from the normal pocket.

I don't usually carry my pen clipped to my pocket. But, I have certain "covert strategies" for making certain others see my favorite "pen of the day". For example, if I'm with someone and they start to reach for their pen to write ..... I just happen to have mine handy for them to write with.

Or when I'm in a meeting (ugh), I'll lay my pen out on the table right in front of me (as close to the middle of the table without appearing intentional) for everyone to see. Somehow this seems to always happen during the most boring part of the meeting.

When the worst come to worst ...... I'll just wait for the boss to finish saying whatever it is that he thinks was really important ..... and I'll lean back in my chair .... hold my pen up in front of me as though I'm studying it .... and then with a yawn .... "Yep, made me a new pen last weekend ....."

I think you get my drift.

Put on the shirt, lay flat and then drip a little CA on it. Let it cure, slide in your favorite pen and proceed as normal. Next week we will go over shirt removal for the wood turner.

Okay. I don't have all the letters on my keyboard to spell out the word for the state north of TEXAS.....:star:

Make a European or Olympia. Basically same length as a slim but "dressier". Or make a custom slim that doesn't look like a slim.
