how do you "sign" your pens

Is there any way to put any type of makers mark on a pen you've made? Something similar to how jewlers and other artits sign their work?

Some use a small laser engraved logo and I've seen at least one pen maker use a small hand held engraving tool and actually sign his work and then place the clip over it so it is not too noticeable.

Chris Higdon laser engraves his logo as well as numbers his, I believe. Cool looking logo too.

Usually I don't, but if it's a premium fancy one of a kind pen, I use a very fine tip marker and autograph the pen.
