I've had a few stainless steel honey dipper kits sitting on my shelf for a while. Was wondering what a good shape for the handle people like. I see some the size of little bottle stoppers and some that are bigger and longer.

I can only say I made mine so that the handle end came well out of the honey pot . Don't like sticky fingers.

I was leaning towards a longer handle I know most wouldn't cheap ones you buy at the store have a small handle for just your fingertips but I like the idea of keeping it out of the honey pot.

The ones I've made are like Bobby's—100% wood and I even did the handle like his.
One was black cherry, a couple from sapele.

I've used and sold the same dipper you show in your hand. What I did was take a 2" tall piece of Koa (I sell these in Hawaii) that was 1 3/4" square. I then turned the Koa into a tear drop pattern using the mandrel that you can get from Stainless Bottle Stoppers. Not a big seller for me as I only sold 8 last year. I think it's more a price issue than how they looked. I thought they were pretty cool to be honest and clean up is a breeze. If I can find a picture that I might have taken I'll post it here.
