So I went into a surplus store looking for some rubber stoppers. (Weirdest store I've been in...A cross between RadioShack, Dollar Store with the feel of a Head Shop) I came across 1/2" and 3/4" to 1" white Homopolymer PP at really inexpensive prices.

After a bit of research, it appears that it is similar to Polyethylene (Cutting boards) I'm not a science geek. Has anyone used this material? It doesn't seem to bond using weld-on products.

I was thinking of trying this out to make resin molds. I'm also wondering if this has the strength at 3/4"+ to be used as a lid/cover for a stabilization chamber?

Any input from others?

I don't have an answer to your question, but I'm guessing you went to one of the Ax-Man surplus stores, true?

Those stores are awesome, and weird, and a little scary. Where else can you buy your own iron lung (besides the St. Paul Ax-Man)?

Did you find the stoppers?

They didn't have #3 stoppers.

We went to the Ax-Man in Crystal...Next to Fantasy Gifts. My son, TJ, thought the employees at Ax-Man might work a few hours a week next door.

I didn't know if I wanted to build a small circuit board, a radio, and electric motor, a bong, or a meth lab after that store visit.
