you laugh, but one time I was flying home from Alaska and got to see TSA run a pat down on a ten year old kid... his number just came up and the dopes didn't have the common sense to see this was just a kid and move one to the next guy... made a big fuse over it and just looked stupid.

I have no desire to fly anymore. I use to love travelling by air, even the lay-overs. Now I don't want any part of it not for fear of terrorist rather my total disgust with TSA. I guess I'll drive as along as we don't have paper's checks on the highways.

I tried to drive to visit my daughter at Pearl Harbor, but those long tube snorkels don't work worth a damn!!

Kinda adds meaning to the term 'interagency communication.' These days the use of PC's to trade information with other law enforcement agencies is getting better ... but, just like the news agencies, they all want to be first for the glory in getting the news/arrest claim to be theirs.

Just how many times have you heard, "You heard it on XXX News first!" only to hear later that most of that information was flat out wrong or incomplete? You never hear, "We must now apologize for being first to tell you wrong information."

No one theory of operation is perfect and I guess something that is not right/almost right is wayyyyy better than nothing at all.

I am just waiting for the terrorists to say that we are offending them by demanding proof positive identification. To that I would say, "You don't prove your identity now, you will be detained until such time as we prove your identity" ... and then take forever to get it done.

Now try flying with legally registered and claimed firearms going into the baggage area. Even though all of the paperwork was pre-arranged, the precautions made, and the arrangements set up ahead of time, we had to "bail" a friend out up here because the local tsa personell did not know their job.
Hopefully, I get hte pleasure of attending the Worlds again next year in Australia, and will not go through what my friend had to.

even when mistakes are made, I rather they be on the safe side. For all the naysayers, sign up for the TSA and show us, no, prove to us, that you make travel safer for us.

I can remember 10 year olds carrying guns. acting like your friend then robbing you blind. the philmars had to shoot at this band of kids and this was in 1991 in the Philipines.

I guess you never know. There are a lot of simpathisors out there.

HMMM Sounds a bit strange. The TSA are basically civilian government employees. They Have no arrest powers, unless its a citizens arrest.

Vietnam had lots of young kids that would kill you with the gernade strapped to them.
