Yesterday one of our own neighborhood sons came home from the war. He was injured about a month ago but is doing well now. He still has scrap-mill in his head . It is uncertain if he will be able to return to the fighting even though he wants to. Yesterday when he got home the neighborhood was out with flags and a warm welcome.
This morning around 7:00am about 30 motorcyclists, 3 fire trucks and several police cars with sirens and lights blaring came to welcome Dave home. It was really touching. He is only 21. attached are a couple of photos of this morning. I hope all the men and women serving realize how much we admire and love them for their dedication!
I could only capture a small portion of the crowd.

I know what you mean seamus,
In the yard this morning I couldn't stop crying! Dave is 2 years younger than my youngest and we watched him grow up. They have an older son in the service also.

That is great, thanks for posting.

We may never meet, but those of us who have not served owe a debt to those who have.

Ya gotta love America. Yeah us!!

I had a slow day at a local craft fair yesterday. A lady was pleased to see that I was there as she wanted to buy a replacement for a pen she had given here brother-in-law who lost it while stationed in Iraq. This was his home-coming weekend as well. After she picked one out, I couldn't take her money - I told her to take it with my compliments - and to pass along our thanks for a job well done.
