Dear Makers - I'm glad to be back to pen making and back to this fine forum after (most of) a year doing portrait and wildlife painting (and other things).
These stylus pens were kindly commissioned by a tech industry innovator for the Holidays:
Back to my usual methods:
Painted the slowly rotating tubes with hand formulated paints, cured x 1 week
Cast with Douglas and Sturgess poly resin + copper and other metal flakes, cured in the pressure pot at 50psi x 2 days
Turned between centers, sanded, polished as usual
Assembled
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all of you.
Fondly and gratefully - Bob
PS: I was lucky to be juried into the Pastel Society of America this year, and this was one of my submissions to the jury:
"Zebras", pastels, 8x10"
