This is one of those "counts your blessings" days. We had the plant luncheon yesterday and I was finally getting into the Christmas spirit. I went back later in the afternoon and had a second turkey sandwich (I really have been watching my diet!) and left the cookies and cakes alone.
Later in the evening I started feeling really bad (won't describe the symptoms - it is Christmas!) and couldn't get warm. I dressed in two layers of sweats and got into bed where I had the craziest dreams.
This morning I soaked in a hot bathtub for a while and had juice, eggs (plain) and toast (also plain) and can get around though still weak and slightly nauseous. My wife played 20 questions and then got on the web and thinks I have a minor case of food poisoning. I hope no one else at work got it as well.
My daughter's husband has started watching Jeopardy and there was a question about Lorraine (the country) and she was so happy to tell him that was the birthplace of the first Tippery in America. He was less than excited about that so she called me. She was less than happy about my lack of energy until I told her how I was feeling. Miss sympathy let me know that, at least, now I can empathize with how she feels every day of her second pregnancy!
Bottom line - enjoy the holidays and the people around you but be careful. This only has to happen once to get your attention.
