Hip Operation, I Have a Date

Hi All,

Well I have a date for my hip operation; I will have a total hip resurfacing operation on June 6 (Dr. Frank Smith at Henderson Hospital in Hamilton Ont).

I have done my own research on my hip condition and awhile ago I posted a few questions here looking for those of you with similar experiences.

I would like to thank those of you who wrote and emailed, it was great to exchange thoughts and experiences.

I will be off line for awhile….some one leave a light on for me okay..

Best of luck and I sincerely hope that the operation and the following recovery, and rehabilitation go better than anyone including the doctor could have hoped for. Have a speedy recovery, don't want you away from here to long, may forget who you are then. LOL

I've had both hips replaced and am doing fine. Both times I woke up and noticed the p[ain was gone.

Have a great attitude all the way to the operation. It really helps the body to recover when it knows you are comfortable with the procedure. Keep us here at the IAP posted as you can.

I feel pretty good today, I had my education class at the hospital Tuesday (2 hours) and I had all my pre op work completed today...SO everything is a Green light for next week....I feel good about everything..
