Next Saturday is THE day! May 3rd. It's Highland Woodworking's (formerly "Hardware") once a year yard sale. There are usually lots of great deals plus Roy Underhill (remember him from The Woodwright's Shop PBS series?) is going to be there. They also sent out 20% off coupons.

Anybody down here in Georgia planning on going? :D

I'm just hoping that I'm feeling well enough by next Saturday to drive up to Hotlanta.

Tom ...... hop one of your planes and meet us there. I'll buy you lunch at The Varsity. :D

Doc

My father and I will be there all day long. Highland is allowing the local carving clubs to put on demos all day long, so we will be there carving and trying to get folks interested in carving.

Frank Bowers will be there with a mini lathe and will be allowing folks to turn pens. Frank is one of the nicest turners you will ever meet, and he conducts several classes at Highland during the year for everything from pens to bowls.

If you have never seen Roy Underhill in person, you should come just for that! He is a hoot, and an all around neat person. Just have some band aids handy...LOL....

Al, I've been looking for one of those things, can't remember what it is called but I'll know it when I see it. If you find one, can you grab it for me and let me know what I owe you. Thanks:D

Sure thing Johnnie! Hey ... don't forget to send your credit card number. I'll need the expiration date also. BTW you may want to call and ask them to increase the credit line.

Hey Doc

Could you pass that information along as well, I need to pick up a couple of things too, and I dont think Johnnie would mind a bit! I will bring the big truck, just in case a 3520B falls into the back of it....

Al I wish I could but we do not fly to Atlanta. Talk to the airport and tell them to dump the high cost carriers and beg Southwest to rethink coming there.

One day we will fly close and arrange a meeting, Kelly would like to meet the man that called her the night he found out about the cancer, with support.

Tom . . . I appreciate Kelly's gratitude. But, in all honesty, when you wrote that first post about Kelly . . . every IAP member who read it was troubled by what was happening to her. I just happened to be the one who made the phone call. It was really all of us who called that night.

On a serious note, I could tell that Kelly really liked me. Before we hung up, I thought I heard her say, "Thanks for calling . . . Al Baby". On the other hand, it may have been my hearing loss playing tricks on me. ;):D

Well the annual yard sale was a big success. Lots of folks there. If you came Doc, I missed ya man, but I was gone for an hour or so for lunch.

Roy was a gas, and I hope to post some pictures later today.
