Hickory Burl----Gloat

Look at what showed up here about a hour ago---sorry no pen blanks but this is going to make a great bowl blank.
This is the first Shag Bark Hickory Burl I have ever seen.
I just hope it stays together---the are signs of rotten wood at the core.

Make a bowl out of the "bowl" that's in it and use the shavings to smoke some chickens or ribs or somethin'!

Nice indeed. Shame you are going to turn most of it into shavings. I hope you have one of those bowl saver tools.
