Howdy!

I'm from Houston, TX. I read other peoples introductions and they always put their location, and I don't know what to say so that's a start. Commonly included is experience also, so... I have none! Haha! I have watched a few pens turned and made two myself and split the work on another two but nothing really, simply lucked out on most of them with everything working out!

Currently, I don't have a job, and am not in school, which is okay for now. Hopefully that will change in a year or two (working towards it). I have always been interested in building and Engineering new things, in fact I recently did an ad lib construction job in my back yard which turned out surprisingly well. I built a garden box for my step-mom. Since then my dad has been hinting at me to make a pen, and I finally gave in... Which led me here!

So, here I am. Nice to meet y'all! (sound texan enough?)

David

P.S. Invade anyone was wondering about the name its an old gamer tag name I came up with as a kid that stuck I guess, and it grew on me.

I gotta warn you, being as you're part vampire, I gotta be a little wary. Seriously, though, your work so far has been outstanding. You have a natural talent that you need to push the boundaries of. I'm pretty new, as well. My dad got me into it, and it's been a lifesaver. I'm not terrible at it, but out of 50 some odd pens, nothing quite matches up against the ones of yours I've seen. I stick to Slimlines right now, which may play a part. Either way, keep going.

Welcome David. You have access to a great talent in your dad so use it to your best advantage. We have all seen his work and now your pens have been shown. As posted previously, in your case, the acorn did not fall far from the tree. If my early turnings looked anything like yours, heck, fi my turnings today looked anything like yours, I would be thrilled.
Oh, yes, look out for that vampire gene coming out.
Again, welcome from West Kentucky.
Charles
