I have found and used so much useful information, and met so many truly outstanding people who belong to this site that I feel a little guilty not having introduced myself earlier.

About myself; haply married, retired USN, drive an old Chevy truck, fond of tools short of shop space, and generally love making anything out of wood, metal or anything in between.

Cheers,

Welcome Little Bear,

Been a while since I was out to the island to visit a retired navy guy that drive an ole chevy pickup, the moved way south and got out of the rain. Beautiful area with no shortage of turning supplies, looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome! I lived on Whidbey Island twice when I was a kid. (I'm a Navy brat.) My dad flew the A6. The picture of them flying in formation over Deception Pass Bridge is still on the wall at my parents' house.

Welcome from Sanford Florida. About a 6 hour plan ride away. Go to Wa for meting love it there. Spent time in the Quinalt Forrest's.

Ahhh, welcome and you lucky devil! Whidbey Island was our most often vacation place when I was a kid and eventually my folks bought a lot at Sandy Hook, the south end of the island. They bought the lot when I wrote and told them I was headed to Viet Nam in 1965. My Mom was so depress, my Dad said he had to do something to try to cheer her up. They build a retirement home on the lot and lived there after they retired. So many memories of Whidbey Island. The hours we spent putting around in a little boat out in the sound, catching nice salmon....
