I went into harbor freight today and started browsing around. I ran across this face shield I hadn't seen in there before. I haven't tried it in the shop yet but it fits good and the goggle section is nice and clear. Just letting anyone know that may want to try one out.

I may have to pick one of those up. The face shield I have is very cumbersome. It has the head gear like a welding mask. And the lens is scratched now. I wear it when using the grinder. Those things are dangerous. I don't wear one when turning pens, just safety glasses. I used to need glasses and never owned a pair of regular glasses, always safety glasses. Mostly because the company I worked for paid for them. I had lens implants a few years ago and don't need glasses any more.

The only con I see about this is the strap. Of course it would depend on how much I would use it as it looks like it would stretch out after a while. Then again, I think walmart carries elastic strap so probably would be easy to changeout.
