The third lathe is the one that I have, and it's absolutely wonderful. It's a virtual clone (nearly identical in everything except colour) to the Jet 1236...

JWL-1236 and Harbor Freight 34706...look at the pics - very similar!

It's a great buy for anyone wanting a good 12" lathe.

The sharpening system is the same mechanicals as the sheppech tiger2000 just in a different case . The instruction manual is almost the same one that comes with the tiger , the parts diagram and list IS the tiger2000 .
All the jigs from the Tormek and Jet will fit this system as well .
 
Butch, Looks like you may have the HF sharpening system. I just picked one up with the coupon but have not had time yet to try it. Hopefully this weekend after our Central Indiana IAP meeting. Have you purchased any attachments for it or do use the basic holder that came with it? Looks like some "free hand" technique may be required without some attachments. Is it working out ok for you? This is all assuming you have one!
