Oh no, first I was dethroned as President of the IAP Trivia Loser's Club .... and now I lose the Championship Belt for Finding the Best HF Coupon! I couldn't have lost to a better contendor. You just saved me about 10 more bucks!!
 
I took the 30% coupon to harbor freight and went to home depot, since i need to get some garbage bags.

Talk to the customer service guy to see if home depot would take it.
he called the manger, she came up took a look at.
Ask me if harbor freight name was on it showed her, asked if there was a local one.
Me and another store employee confirmed to her that there was a local harbor freight.
She asked me what i wanted to get,told her the ridgid drill press. ask how much it was told her.
She said she would honor it.

got a $279 drill press for $195.[:D]
 
Thank you for the coupons. I went to H.F. in Minneapolis to check out a new drill press. The price was 189.99 and was marked on sale at 145.99. I asked the salesperson if the 30% coupon was good and she said it was. What a nice deal! Thanks again.
 
The Home Depot by me wouldn't even honor their own Internet price when I was looking for a drill press. Lost a sale because of it.
I guess it all depends upon the local manager.
 
I don't think it is normal for HD to take HF coupon.

I just got lucky, plus i had to sweet talk her.[:D]

I really think she was a new manger.
 
I took the 30% off coupon to my Harbor Freight this past weekend, and they had their router table with router for $169, down from $199. They accepted the coupon, so my entire purchase, including assorted other small tools, still only came to about $150!!! Thanks for the coupon!

Yep, I took my 30 percenter to my local friendly HF store. I got a tablesaw that was originally 369 on sale for 349 with another 115 off. For those with dyscalculia (ask Cav) that comes to a final price of 234 American Dollars. [:D]

I have a couple more things to buy before the 12th. Btw, I tried it at HD ..... they told me to take a flying leap. [:0]
 
I just returned from my nearest Harbor Freight store. It was a slightly embarassing experience. I was purchasing a horizontal metal cutting bandsaw that was on sale. I presented the cashier the 30% off coupon. He said he would have to talk to the manager. He returned a said that they could not take the coupon. I asked to speak to the manager. He told me that their policey was not to take a copy of a coupon. I explained to him that I printed it from the internet. He said that it was not a valid coupon. In the end he was graceious enough to take the coupon. I still felt like I had done something wrong even though I had just printed a coupon from the internet. So be warned that we may be victims of an internet hoax.
 
I don't know about the source of this coupon, but they do send out coupons themselves via email. So just the fact it's a printout of a coupon shouldn't be reason enough to deny it. Otherwise I don't know how they would expect you to use the email ones. Haven't tried this coupon (and probably won't have opportunity to) but I've never had any problem with the nearest store honoring the printed coupons, and I just have a B&W laser, so they REALLY look like a copy!
 
The one I used was printed out on a laser printer. When I handed it to them at the store, they scanned the barcode on it, and it came up with the 30% off. That sounds official to me!

The one we printed out was a little blurry, so the bar code scanner wouldn't pick it up. The cashier just typed in the numbers under the bar code and it worked fine.
(New 115 piece drill bit set gloat [:D] )

I gave a copy to a buddy at work and he got 150.00 off a mig welder (owes me lunch [8D]).
 
I should have read the entire post. I took the 25% coupon in today. I went in a couple of weeks ago to buy a vertical mill/drill they had on sale. It was out of stock, so I got a rain check. It came in yesterday. They took the 25% off coupon, but the manager gave me one of those we will have to overlook the "in store only" clause. I was still very happy. The sale was $100 off, then the scan took the 25% off the original price [:D]. So I got the $999.99 regular price mill for $674.99.
That was a fantastic deal. Then I had to get the 700 pound mill out of the van into the shop. All went well, no visits to the chiropractor needed. Then I had to then tell the wife just how much money I saved by spending $675. Almost tougher than getting it out of the van.[:D][:D]
 
I took the 30% coupon in today to Harbor freight and they declined it.[V] They said that someone posted that coupon on the web and is scamming HF with it. It was a little embarrassing with people standing all around me. The lady felt so bad for me, she pulled out a 10% coupon from her pocket and let me use that.[:D]
 
Tim .... sorry to hear about your experience at HF. I'm not certain that the manager of your store is correct about it being a scam. When I took my coupon in on Saturday, they entered the code number manually and it worked fine. Did you happen to take the 25% one along with you?
 
Here in Salt Lake City they are furious for us trying to use these. They say that they are frauds and that HF does NOT do 30% off coupons.[:(!] The only ones that were used in the store accumulated to maybe them giving out maybe $25 in discounts. But the new manager of this store is not a very friendly person and is more concerned with his profit then customer service. I would like to find the originator of this coupon and then shove it up his *** (guess goes here) but I am not that kind of person. So it is great that it is working for you guys but I am jealous.[:D]
 
If the coupon is fraudulent .... I wouldn't use it. However, I asked the manager at my HF if the coupon was good, and he said yes. I then proceeded to make my purchase. So, I guess it's up to your local HF.
 
I went and used the 30% off coupon and picked up the 2hp dust collector for $119.

Didn't have a problem.

had a extra copy and found someone that had a aair compressor in his buggy and gave him a copy.

plus used it home depot for a drill press.[:D]
