Ouch!!!!! My wife and I and our newest edition Nolan David along with 575 other friends and co-workers just found out that they are out of work in less than one year. First cuts to come in 30 days (50% est of the workfource) Crazy couple of days trying to figure out what to do. Its a shame that we keep shipping jobs south and oversaeas to be profitable as a business. Kinda sad for her as she worked there 10 plus years. I guess when one door closes and Bla Bla. [}:)]
Oh yah buy lots of wood:D

Sorry to hear that Nolan. As you said, other doors will surely open and half of the time, they lead to better opportunities. I wish you (esp your wife) luck finding a better one.

Nolan, Sorry to hear that news. I hope you guys can find something that makes you feel good to be a part of, and is rewarding for you. If there is anything I can do, let me know.

Yes moved it to Moterray, Mexico ------- They have closed 3 USA plant 1 Canadian plant so far and cut 900 jobs in Hershey PA.

I can only wish you and yours the best. I lost my best job (project builder and designer for Woodworker's Journal Magazine)to a corporate buy-out and raid for the profits. That was close to 9 years ago and I will still not buy a magazine published by Primedia (those bast*@#+)[}:)]I went back to a corporate job I had held for 15 years before that and by my amazement I landed a modelmaker job I had tried to get 27 years before. It didn't open right up, but my patience paid off.

Tell your wife that we are not defined by our work, but by our spirit. I was going to say best of luck, but I know believe we make our own luck. With the right spirit she will come out of this to the positive!

Sorry to about both you and your wife's job. Just like everyone said when one door close another one opens. I know what it feels like but do not give up. There is always something better out there. Most important both of you support each other and do not let the stress interfere with life.

Nolan sorry to hear that, I know some of the feelings your going through. My wife and I had just thrown the house warming party for out first home, 2 weeks after we moved in. The next day I go to work and they have restructured and I am not part of that. I worked for an eye doctor and they decided they wanted to go all female, the let their office manager go too, he had been with them for years.

I just returned 12 1/2 pound bars of Hershey Almond to the store and told them the reason was because of these closings and MORE job losses to mexico (not capitalized out of disrespect for the country.) I will not buy any more hershey product till they come to their senses. [}:)]

Now, my biggest problem is finding a chocolate substitute seeing as how I am addicited to the stuff - bad too!

Noland, I wish you and the wife and all the others Good Luck! [:I]

I am very sorry to hear about that Nolan. I hope you and your family are able to make it through this.

We Americans do not seem to be very smart sometimes. We buy stuff from China and ship our jobs overseas just to save 10 cents on a roll of toilet paper and then complain about the quality.

Fred_erick - as for chocolate I highly recommend Wilbur Chocolate.

Still made in the good old USA.
