All I can say is WOW!!
I am originally from Montana, so love the snow. I also lived in Connecticut during that huge snow storm in 1978 when the snow was up to my chest by the time the storm ended. Granted I was 12 at the time but I was about 5'4" to 5'5" tall.
All we have gotten this winter is a lot of rain that we have needed. Luckily I live in San Diego and not up around Los Angeles where the fires were last year.
They are having trouble with mudslides up there.

I would be lost with out the power to run my tools! Lucky I dont need power to glue feathers. lol Sorry for your weather misfortune, but it looks like you live in some real beautiful country side. Thats my kind of place. Nice pics.

Wow.That just does not look like there is a street there.Hope you pull through this next round. We are getting more.Only have 7 or 8 inches. But people here freak out. Todd

Hey Harold!!!

Ya gotsta get them twigs off the road!!!

Then jump in the Durango and make some tracks for your neighbors!!

When you got it ALL cleaned up, the county will send a snowplow out to dust it off and knock your mailbox down!!!

Standard Operating Procedure!

Hi Harold What a difference a few days make. We were just in Pittsburgh and Robinson Township then down to the Meadows. I am 75 miles north of Pittsburgh. We only got 16 ins here. Have been watching the news you guys, I guess I should say yuns guys got hit pretty good. And there calling for more tonight and tomorrow. I live in a rural area Lucky we didnt lose power this time. Those trees are probably all maple and poplar if its anything like up here. My chain saws in the shop are I would offer some help. We will have to get together sometime. Hope you get out before the spring thaw.

I hear that Buffalo has sent out some snow plows to helpout. But we don't plow atv trails here. Not so sure you can say that's a street. The idea of blanks does make the whole thing worth it though yes?

Yes that is indeed a road. We had power for about 4 hrs so I charged the lap tops and cell phones and got a nice hot shower but last night all of the new transformers exploded and again it looked like fourth of July around here. There was a way out the other day but alot more trees fell last night so I dont know if I can still get out now. To top it off they have issued a blizzard warning and are predicting 50 mph winds. It took about an hour and a half to get to a main road monday (normaly takes 5 min). Another bulldozer just tried to push through..got stuck, then when he got out..turned around and left..but he did get about 5 feet further down the road then the first one

Sorry mate pictures not too clear to me, all l see is 100's of pen blanks on the floor !!

Great News..They dug me out today..the road up the hill has been cleared..my driveway has been plowed ($50.00 tip to a backhoe driver who saw us still shoveling, but he said he was authorized to help who ever needed help) Even got the road salted and a promise of another salting tomorrow morning. They say the power will be back on in just a couple more days..Everything is looking up..Heck, I'm even going to try yo make it to work tomorrow.
And the storm is now officaly over and the weatherman says only about 3 more inches by morning..Hell..thats nothing

I hope your right, we got 27" on the first storm now it looks like we will get another six to eight. I't took me and the family three hours to dig out of the first storm. Now if the winds get blowing like they said, we'll be digging out of the drifts then.
