Help with travel to Texas

Hello to all my Texas penturner friends! I am traveling in Texas from Florida on I-10 W...we are about an hour away from Houston, putting us there at approximately 5:30pm....should we stay on I-10 W or try to go around Houston? Is traffic real nasty at that hour? Can anyone give me some insight asap?

Michelle, I've been to Houston many times and traffic is terrible all the time but at 5:30 it past terrible.

If you can.........stop, take a break.....grab a burger......walk around. Let the traffic clear out and then go on.

Traffic at this time is pretty bad! Take your time eating and kill about an hour and a half and that should do it. What is your ultimate destination? I only ask that because there might be an alternative route available.

Good choice - traffic from Houston to Sealy on the west side would not have been fun.

My Wifey's coworker refers to Cracker Barrel as "Crack House"!:biggrin::biggrin:
...and now so do we!
We are just waiting for the story when one of her coworkers young girls mentions the Crack House at school. :
