I just got some burl with live edge but some of it is coated in anchor seal.
I know this topic has been covered before but I can't find it. I want to cast some of this but I don't think the PR will stick to it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Jim, I've heard that boiling the wood a few times gets rid of the waxy buildup, I'm not sure whether PR would stick to the natural edge or not after having been treated with Anchorseal

I don't know that boiling them will get rid of the Anchorseal in a way that will solve the problem. I tried boiling. The wax dissolves and ends up deeper in the wood. It looks like it's gone but it's not. And you have one hell of a mess to clean up afterwards
