This was a custom label cast and he screwed up one end. Now I cant get this to work right. The transmission goes in too far. if you look I have marked the amount of space I need to back it out to work 100% properly. Any ideas on what I can use as a spacer?

I wonder if you can use a brass or wooden spacer ring that is as thick as you need. Then the threads must be long enough.
I'ld try to thread it in as far as needed. then make a spacer ring for over the thread. Do you have a metal lathe, or know someone with one.
what also is possible that you take a metal part from another pen where the thread is the same, make it as thick as needed and you have a threaded spacer ring

Yeah no metal lathe and I was thinking about checking my Pen Parts bin

Actually, no. There is no room inside the part where the twist screw's into. So I took it apart and sent the parts back for a new blank!
