Thanks in Advance!

Thanks Don!
That is really close but I'm looking for one that goes up to 60psi on the pressure side, the vacuum side is good. I checked the company they don't have one that goes up that high. Anybody else build a pot lately? I built one acouple of years ago and my gauge goes up to 60 psi I cast at 50psi.

Thanks Butch,
That is what I'm looking for. Mine doesn't have the liquid inside. In my garage...I mean shop :tongue:its not heated all the time wonder if that might freeze. My gauge was alot cheaper...:eek:I think I paid more for shipping than the gauge.:frown:

I'm not sure about the freezing , its glycerine filled . Does that stuff freeze ???
As for price , you get what you pay for . When I built my pot I used a cheap gauge , I think I paid about $8 for it . It was never very accurate and it started leaking after about 3 months , very slow leak but lost about 10# overnight so I replaced it about a year ago with one of these and it has been working fine ever since .

Not likely in our workshops. Glycerine is funny stuff.. it has a freezing point
just slightly lower than room temperature. but you add water and it interferes
with the crystallization. Sounds odd, but if you combine glycerine (freezing
point of around 60 F) and water (freezing point of 32F) and mix them 67/33
and you get a solution with a freezing point of about -50 F.
Strange..
Anyway, that's why they use it for fire equipment gauges, it doesn't freeze
except in unusually cold situations.

I really appreciate all of your help and input. I Received another great lesson. We have a wealth of information and talent here on IAP!

I don't know what you are casting nor which resin type you are using but I've not used my pressure tank in quite awhile now. I've having excellent results. I cast polyresin...clear casting...snake skins and labels. When I was using the pressure tank I only cast with 25psi. But, your application may require the higher pressure.
Do a good turn daily!
