I have a really nice amboyna cap that I have started to turn into a natural edge/bottom bowl... Then I notice that there is wax on the outside of the burl where I will be leaving it natural.
Is there any way to get that off without sanding or turning it away? Turning it away is not really an option, and sanding it would not only take forever, but would change the outcome of the bowl, not something I want to do...

HELP!!!:(:(:(

what about finishing though? What shall I use? Should I just soak it in BLO overnight, then apply a coat of wax? There will always be a slight residue of wax, regardless of what I do, and a finish won't stick! I'm leaning towards the BLO solution, any other ideas?
