Do a search on here for Alumilite and you will get all the info you need.

Buy Alumilite from Alumilte.com.

Pressure pot: depends on what you are casting. If solid resin, not necessarily required. If "mixed media", probably required.

How: pour equal amounts by weight of part A and part B into separate cups. Mix your colorant into part B in such a way to minimize bubbles. (optionally, degass part B by "bumping" or vibrating), Mix A and B together minimizing bubbles and pour into your mold. (optionally, put in pressure pot at no more pressure than pot is rated for). Wait 10 minutes, remove, drill, glue, turn, assemble.

Pearlx works great
Dharmatrading company

Alumilite sells dyes which are very good. (use sparingly!)

You can also use cosmetic grade powders and micas and glitters
Coastal accents

Paint can be used to color alumilite but it can not have water in it.
Alumilite + water equals mad science experiment .....

LoL good times

Crystal clear works great for solid blanks and worthless wood that you want to color or leave clear.

You can make a pearly white with micropearl pearlx and crystal clear alumilite

The white is a solid white like milk which you can color but will not have a pearl effect.

I don't use regular

Seriously, do a search in the Casting section. Somewhere in there is a recipe book of colors: what to mix in in what quantities and what the resulting blanks look like. And there are tons of sample blanks with people talking about how they made them. Just spending a few hours perusing the forum will give you so much info your head will be swimming.

Actually, have you found the library yet? There is a button to access it at the top of this (and every) page. VERY good info in there. 8 articles on casting. Most deal with PR but all are pertinent to Alumilite too. Just switch resins and catalyst for part a and part b. Here is a quick link to the index of the library: http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1488

And Alumilite has several "How-to"s on their website: http://www.alumilite.com/HowTos.cfm

I use (mostly) pearlex metallics to make my blanks. The one trick that is different about alumilite than PR is that with PR when the resin in the cup looks the way you want it to, you are done because you only add a few drops of catalyst. With alumilite when it looks the way you want it to, double your additives because you are about to add an equal part of part A to what you just mixed.

Now if you have a specific project you are looking to accomplish and have specific questions, you will get tons of help by asking. But if you are just looking for generic info so you can start casting your own blanks, etc, then do a little homework and ask based on what you find.
