Hi There, I've been looking in to Pen Turning for some time, reading articles, watching youtube videos etc. and have finally decided to get myself a lathe and give it a go.
So......and introduction from me and a photo of one of my first pens - I made it as a Christmas present to a good friend of mine.
Prior to this I experimented with a couple of slimlines, this is actually the third pen I've made.
I think the wood is walnut, I used a Baron Silver kit.
I've got some fantastic looking snakewood set aside (enough for about eight blanks) as well as some three Thuya Burls, there to provide a little motivation to keep going and give me something to aim towards (once I've got a little more experience).
