I'm Cees, 54, leftie and waved the marketing and sales business in 2019 goodby to fully focus on restoring and selling vintage Rapido Caravans from the late 60-s to 2003. Since we're the only in the world doing this, business is booming. To 'relax' after work I've picked up the old 'fountain pen restoration' hobby, which was hidden in boxes for almost three decades. I'm very interested in turning fountain pens after getting caught by the marvellous OMAS celluloid of some of the pens I own. After seeing a video of the production of the OMAS Arte Italiana line (1990's, VHS in my possession) I thought I should give it a try too (someday), having a bit of experience in working with precious metals and gem stones.

So... thank you for having me in this group!

Welcome to the forum Cees. I look forward to seeing some of your restored pens, or pens you make. And it would be interesting to see a restored Rapido Caravan!
 
Welkom Cees, Yes there are some Dutch people her on the forum. If i can help you let me know. Pm (in dutch). I like the old materials. I have a small stock of ebonite en if i can buy some OMAS celluloid for a good price, i will do so. Most of my pens at the moment are model berlin.
I have a 20 fountainpen kits of good quality with i will start making soon.

I am also new to this site, joined today. I was in Finland for a wedding in August and must say you live in a very nice part of Europe. Hello from California.
