Hello!

I've recently discovered pen turning and have turned to the IAP forums numerous times for information on the topic. This has probably been the single most informative forum that I've ever seen. As such, I figured that it'd be a good idea to join you guys. :biggrin:

A little about me:
I live in the middle-of-nowhere, NC (small town of about 300 people), though I've always lived in bigger cities. I'm a bit of a techie, and am working on a Masters in Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Warren and welcome Be sure to attend the MidAtlantic Penturners Gathering on 17 &18 May, at the Woodcraft Store in Richmond. You will find the whole Saturday full of great demos and instruction. Pre-register with me, if you please, and get a bag of 'goodies' when you arrive. Philip
 
I didn't think ANYONE had ever heard of Campbell, when I have my CU hat on folks ask me if I like soup! …Go Camels! (She played soccer there all four years)
 
I lived just outside of Fayetteville for 18months. Campbell is up the interstate. We had a guy in our church that was in some admin position. My cousin went there for a few years then transferred to Lenoir Reine. But before ALL of that, I went to Charleston Southern University and we played y'all in several sports.

Thanks everyone for welcoming me! I've never received so many welcomes from a forum before...

For those who asked, I'm actually in the center of a box with Ashville, Hickory/Lenoir, Charlotte, and Spartanburg/Greenville, at the four corners.
