Hi all. Glad to be part of this group! I started turning pens about 13 years ago when my boyfriend taught me the basics (and he had all the equipment). I made some of my best pieces then (beginner's luck?) but have since gotten a shop set up to work on some stuff to give away and sell. I've sold a cool steampunk pen for $200, so I'm hoping that I can sustain this obsession (i.e., costs for supplies) with what I can sell. Anyway, I'm hoping to find suggestions here on things like how best to organize all the supplies we have to use (e.g., bushings that work for multiple pen types, all the different drill bits, extra tubes, etc.). Anyway, really love being part of this group! Best, Tamara

Welcome, I know that fairly recently there was a thread on how some organize. Some are incredibly organized and color code their instructions and bushings. You may be able to search for it.

Welcome from Albuquerque NM.
I will echo sorcerertd, you don't want organization advice from me either. My shop is a mess too.
Lots of good info here, check out the library.

Mike

Welcome Tamara

only advice i'd give is mark blanks clearly with which kit they're for. I've a large collection of drilled , tubed blanks that I'm sure I have the kit for šŸ˜³

There is an excellent thread on here discussing workshop organisation though , it came up again recently.
