Just wanted to say hello from a complete newbie! I started playing around with a lathe about a year and a half ago and have since dove off into duck calls and a few other small projects. I've yet to turn my first pen, but think I'm finally set up to give it a whirl. Looking forward to spending time on the forum and learning all I can!

My background is in Wildlife Management and I currently work for a non-profit group coordinating their adult education programs. My grandpa was an outstanding carpenter and avid woodturner so I guess the love of making wood chips runs in the family.
