Hello Everyone, I have been a woodworker for about 15 years and a pen turner for 1 year. I have a 1940s AMES collet lathe that I turn on. I hope to learn everything I can about this GREAT hobby. Brian

I see you're a ride technician. I assume you work at CP? That must be a very interesting job! I go to Sandusky pretty often (to Plum Brook Station) and when I get off the freeway, the car wants to turn right for a few hours of coasters instead of left to sit in a meeting.
 
Hello, and welcome from Monroe Michigan. You are in a hotbed of pen turning activity (I don't know if that is good or not). SE Michigan, and recently NW Ohio have active groups of members putting on pen turning meetings in residences, and businesses to meet and exchange ideas and information. This a great group of like minded people having fun with the hobby/business of creating turned crafts. Have fun and post a few pics.
