Hello my pen turning started last December when someone gave me a mini lathe and some pen blanks. For not working on a lathe since 8th grade shop class 24 years ago I thought I did ok. Well now I'm up to 3 lathes a shop that I can get into anymore and a fence row with about 100 logs I get from loggers. I turned a pot call for a friend then a deer call then bowls but I always seem to enjoy the pens. Of all the hobbies I've had wood turning is the most enjoyable and by far the best group of people I've ever been around. Hope to pick some brains and learn some things from you guys.

Ask questions, post photos. Good answers here. Lots of info in the library and also watching videos.
 
Welcome from Indiana, from a Mississippi ex-pat. I grew up in Columbus, but moved to Indiana 20 years ago for work. Its alway good so meet a fellow Mississippian.
