Hello All, Dave and I (Heather) have recently found an interest in turning pens. I say Dave and I loosely as I want pens and Dave turns them. I however am interested in knowing how to do it also and I do spend time with him in his shop, especially when he is working on something I have asked for.

He has turned 2 for me so far and I have many more that I want personally and also to give as gifts to people.

I would like to learn how to do it also but for now I am the idea person and the research specialist. We are sharing in the reading on this site and I am excited to learn more and encourage Dave to make more pens.

Welcome from Arizona! I have a brother who lives in Wichita
and another brother who lives in Overland Park.

I'm also new to the hobby, we've been making pens here for
about a month. They are great gifts, we made several for
Christmas this year. Have fun!

Welcome from Edmond, OK. I lived in Kansas for 28 years and thoroughly enjoyed my time there (my job caused me to move). I've been turning pens for the last year and have sold nearly 200. It is the most enjoyable hobby I have had and this site is absolutely the best. Use it - ask questions - use the vendor links - and keep your imagination flowing!
