Hi all! I am a new to turning, wood hobbyist. My wife and her friends are into quilting, so, I thought I would make them some seam rippers. I wanted to make some closed-end and came across this site. Lots of information and suggestions! I have already ordered a pin chuck from Rick and cannot wait to give it a try.

I have a small 16/12 Lagoona lathe and a few carbide tools. I have lots of learning and practice to do before I claim to be a wood turner.

Thanks for letting me hang out!

Greetings from Nebraska and welcome to the IAP community. My wife is from Iowa and has family in Panora. Other than family visits, I used to spend some time at a mold house over in Ankeny. Actually, we have been talking about doing a mini vacation this summer back to Des Moines so we can hit the Farmer's Market. I don't know if it is back in full swing since COVID-19, but it used to be a lot of fun! I am anxious to see some of your seam rippers and pens. - Dave
