My name is Kenny. I have been a hobby wood worker for years making all kinds of things but I am new to turning and WOW.... this is addicting!

I look forward to learning all kinds of things on this site. I have turned only a dozen or so pens and I can't wait to turn hundreds more. The chance to work with some of these exotic woods is super exciting!! My wife is probably going to shoot me for spending all this money on turning..., I'll have to get her into it too!!

Seems like you have got it right,
Yes it is addictive, and
There is no known cure.
You need heavy pockets filled with plenty of cash.
Yes it will help you if you get SWMBO (she who must be obeyed) on side and involved.
Remember the Hand that Rocks the Cradle.
Also has that Death Grip on the Purse Strings.
Take the advice look at the Library, and soak in the information available.
More importantly look up your local Chapter, and go along, meet the Guys, and Gals, they will help you all the way, bounce off them what you want to do and what you need to buy.
Many times they can save you spending unnecessarily.
But most of all ENJOY.
