Greetings all,

I've been turning since I was about 6 or 7, but got introduced to Pen Turning about a year ago.
My tools were in storage for about 10 years, but I'm in the process of setting up a shop now, and could really use some advice in that area also.
I would really like to get together with other pen turners in my area to share what I have learned, and learn some new tricks...like turning acrylic...lol

I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone interested in getting together.

There are any number of posts and videos available if you search for them. Biggest things I have learned is use a SHARP knife, go slow, and wet sand.

I'm kind of in the area, Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, and would love to get together with other area turners as well. However, if you look through the regional postings, this has been tried, unsuccessfully, in SoCal for quite a while (people can be pretty spread out and nobody likes to drive in traffic). But if anyone is interested I would be on board.

Enjoy IAP, there is a wealth of experience here so look around and mine the forums. You'll learn a lot and be inspired.
