Hi guys,

Just a short hello, my name is Dave and I love exotic woods!
My absolute favorite wood in the world is Cocobolo Burl and you penturners
seem to be the only people that have any of it for sale occasionally, I hope to find some.

Most of the woods I own end up as pool cues but I do also have a few custom made
pens (made by Willee from Corpus Christi).

Welcome to the forum from Corpus Christi. I was looking at Willee's website last night, and see that he does some pretty amazing work with both cues and pens.

He certainly does. He has retired from making new cues but still does repairs and still makes pens.

Had the pleasure of talking to him a few times back when he had a webcam setup in his shop. Very nice person aswell.

Sure thing. My personal cue is made of what I feel is one of the nicest long (30") pieces of cocobolo I have ever seen:

Hi Brian,

The upper section (shaft) of the cue is made from Sugar Maple or Acer Saccharum,
this is what virtually all higher end cues' shafts are made out of.
