New to turning pens, just finished up turning four for gifts recently. Stumbled upon the site and decided to join. Been involved with gunstock making and other woodworking for years and always wanted to turn. Picked up a book and watched a lot of You tube before I tried my hand at it. Just wanted to say hello and let you see what i had done so far.

Thanks,

Thanks guys

Thank you for the welcome and the compliments on the pens!

First pen, some how the wood broke on me at the saw. Its the one with the Mica Pearl Wobali added to the Thuya Burl. Luckily, I had enough of the Wobali left to fix it. It got worse as the piece of burl was left too short and I had to add a piece of the burl back on the other end as well since the Wobali wasn't long enough. So for my first pen, I had to glue up on both ends of the top piece. It came off without a hitch hopefully.

Glad to find the place, I have already learned alot! Wife just text me that she had four orders for pens since the ones she gave to her coworkers created a buzz. They have to use the computers with the touch screen and these are all stylus pens so several others want one as well. Guess it begins..........
