I'm not much for watching tv, Netflix yes, but not usually television. But this Wednesday night I will be glued to the tv to see an old (young) friend, Heather Hemmens, one of the main characters in the new series on CBS, Hellcats!

She was in a few plays with my son at the local community theatre company. I would help with lighting and set design. It was clear even back then she was going to do well if she pursued her dream. She has since been in a couple of movies and CSI episodes as well.

It was a long journey from Brooks, Maine (pop.1000) to L.A. (with a stop off on Bourbon Street, N.O. where she performed (sang) one night a week for a year or so) :)

I hope, however the show turns out, that it is a a success for her! She's a sweetheart and deserves it! I'm proud to say I knew her when ....:)

Wow, I went to camp in Brooks in my yut. I am sure that was before she was a twinkle in the eye. Small town doesn't mean small time. Maybe you can weasel your way into some big Hollywood party.

My grandfather was one of the early board members at Fair Haven in the 1950's. My dad went there and even worked as a counselor & lifeguard. We even vacationed for many years at some cabins that they used to rent out. It really is an idyllic camp. Perhaps I can send my kids whilst the wife and I lounge about Camden or even Belfast stuffing ourselves with lobster and clam chowder.
