I live in Ewa Beach. I belong to the Honolulu Woodturners Group but they meet every other month. My work schedule doesn't allow me to attend all of their meetings. They have some really great folks there and I get in touch with them whenever I can. Most have given me some really nice wood to use.

Just wondering if this ever got off the ground? I'm back on island in Oahu and am looking for a IAP Local Chapter. Based on work schedule, I haven't been as active as I'd like, but it would be great to get a group together.

It would be nice, but travel is a bit of a problem for me. I live Kauai. With a lot of encouragement, etc, you might get small group together on Oahu.

Yeah, It would be nice. I know there's turners here. I'm looking at the Honolulu Woodturners group. Not sure. There's a Woodcraft a couple of blocks from me, but I haven't seen advertisements for meetings or anything. I'm sure they're out there...I just have to keep looking. Maybe it'll end up be the IAP Local Chapter that this tread started to get together. Happy Turning in Kauai. Hopefully, I'll get out to your neck of the woods next year to see what Kauai's all about.
