Just wanted to let you know I won't turning for a while. I'm having hand surgery n Monday morning at 8:00. A tumor has grown on my Right middle finger and it is interfering with the use of my hand and hurts like the dickens. Went to see a hand surgeon and he is taking it off and then we'll see what is growing.:frown:
Won't be able to work either since I have to wash my hands 40-50 times a day or more. Won't be able to get it wet or bend it until it heals completely. I will miss making things so I am spending the weekend turning stoppers and pens. :rolleyes:

Good Luck with the Monday morning adventure, Cindy. Right middle finger in a cast eh, have to remember to wave at people with the left hand for awhile. Seriously though, best wishes to you and I hope the biopsy goes uneventful as well. I grew up in Alameda and can't help but care about another Bay Area pen-turner, especially one from the city.
Warm Regards....Steve

Cindy,

Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Let us know how the surgery went so we'll know how to direct our prayers after Monday.

Take good care,
Terry

Cindy,

The best advise I could give you is to find the best hand surgeon you can. That's from someone who had two surgeries for the same injury within nine months. I took a dive off of a 10' ladder and stopped my fall with my right fist.

And therapy is critical. My last surgeon had me in therapy the day after surgery and it really did the trick!

Best of luck and we will be thinking about you and praying for the best Monday morning.

Rudy

Cindy;
you take care of yourself and get healed up fast. Our prayers are with you. If you need anything let me know.

Good luck with the surgery Cindy. My wife had hand surgery last week for arthritis and has a monster bandage on her left hand and arm. Will be getting a cast on Thursday for 4 to 6 weeks. Hope you have someone to help you with all the things that you can't do with one hand.
