Have to log in every time

Just about every time I visit here, I have to log in, even though I have the "stay logged in" box checked. It happens on my IPAD, IPhone and desktop. Only takes 10,seconds to log in but still irritating. Any thoughts? Thx.

Just a guess, but try checking the cookie settings in your web browser. Most web sites keep you logged in by storing a cookie. Some users have their browser set to clear cookies when you close the browser. This prevents websites from remembering your login information.

In addition to your browser, some antivirus programs can be configured to delete cookies for added security. Browsing in a private or incognito mode also typically prevents websites from storing cookies.

Since this is happening across all of your platforms, it could even be some internet security software that is running on your router.

Well, no luck with the cookie settings. Block all cookies was already de selected. Rebooted IPAD and started Safari, and still had to log on here just now.

Check your private browsing settings. The same thing happened to me when I updated to iOS18 - the update set the Safari default to "private browsing". Once I disabled that, it works fine.

I run into that every 2 or 3 years for a week or two. I have 3 back up browsers, (Brave, DuckDuckGo, and FireFox) for such times as that and for experimenting with in different situations. Because I cannot figure out why that happens, I just go with one of my backup browsers for a week or two and then go back to Safari, which starts working again on my go-to web sites.
