I bought my kids a wii for Christmas yesterday and a few of the must have accessories. Well after my purchase I find out from the wife the kids don't really want one.

What in the crud do these kids want now days. Mine are spaced so far apart (17 almost 18, 10 and 3) that I have no clue anymore. They are not interested in the same things at all.

Trust me, they want one, they just don't know it yet!

I got one for Christmas last year (I'm 11) and my Mom, Dad and older brother play it all the time. It's addictive, even the included games like bowling and tennis are fun. You can download classic games like Mario Bros and Donkey Kong form the Wii store for only $5

They dont want a Wii??? We play the Wii as a family all the time! (12 and 5 yo) Wow, unbelievable....Thats actually good though...keep em outside...buy em guns and tools to shoot and make things! My kids do it all.

You can probably do all that with the Wii as well:rolleyes:

Hey Levi, I reall like your tag line, but don't tell the wife:tongue:

Dustin, believe it or not, the demographic that Nintendo was after with the Wii - middle-aged women!

But - it is probably more fun than they think it will be. It is a generally "softer" console than PS3 and X360 as far as the games and graphics. Are you set on getting them a console?

As far as a family being able to play games together, Wii is by far the best.

Not set on getting them one. I already bought one, but can return it. I just hate for expensive things to sit around and not get used. Oh wait, I better go turn some pens before I say that...lol (it's only been 6 months, but I have an excuse).

I have an xbox 360 with about 5 games for it counting Rock Band. You can get a lot more games for a xbox 360 than any other game system. I love it especially with a 60GB hard drive. You can hook up an Ipod or any other portable music player up to it with a usb cord and play your own music while you're playing games. Right now I'm home sick and I'm ripping my own music on it from a cd.

As far as I understand the Wii is pretty hard to get a hold off. I would hold on to it for a couple more weeks and then list in the local paper or eBay and make a ton of money off of it. Or you can probably sell it on here too.

Alex is right. The advantage of a Wii is you can find games for all ages. My 16 year old son plays it, my wife plays it and I'm planning on getting a golf game for me. If you find the right games they'll play.

Does your bum shoulder mean you have an injur-wii? Sorry, I tried to talk my self out of that one...just couldn't do it.

My grandkids in Idaho have wii and now I have a bum shoulder because of it. It is fun but if you are older becareful.

I bought one for my wife and kids but had to go the Ebay route. I only spent a little more then retail but it was brand new with warranty. We love it. It's great for family time to get together and our local library allows you to borrow games for a week for free (very limited selection though). I'm hoping to get a WII fit this next spring if I can find one then.

Walmart has been doing a pretty decent job of keeping stock. But, If any members are having trouble finding a Wii to purchase and don't want to go the eBay route, I may be able to assist in the search. The price will likely be a few dollars over retail, but reasonable. Send me a PM.

Our family does enjoy ours. We got one last Christmas and have been playing since.
