Always interesting to see who's lurking these portals in the early morn. Well it's off to the mines for me! Hope all goes well in the pen world today! Pick in hand....HI HO.:)

Ha, no mines for me today. The LOML an I are visiting our new grandson in Charleston, SC (1 week old). We gave the parents a break and got up with the little one during the night (several times). It has been a while since I fed and cared for one this age. It reminds me why only the young have children! Not complaining, it was great and he is a handsome little man. Can't wait till he can hold a skew.....

Don't mind telling you, I'm a bit jealous. Waitng for our first. maybe another year or so kids trying to get life in order first. Pretty sure his name will be Skew!!:)

Bob, this is our second grandchild, and they are wonderful. The only problem is my 2 yr old grand-daughter and parents live in Memphis, 400 miles to the NW of our GA location. The new grandson is 350 miles to the SE in Charleston. We just don't get to see them as often as we would like.. Such is life...

Bummer indeed. At least you are able to get in a little quality time with them. Don't know what made me think of this.......My mom comes from a large family, so to keep each child in check she said her mom would put honey on their fingers give them a feather and place the dinner table leg on their gown tail and they would be entertained for hours. Life must have been quite simple then!

That's a great story, never heard of that before and yes, life was simpler. I guess today you would be reported to Family & Children's service for that..:(
