It is extremely soft. So lots of ca as you turn

Robert, Hans is right. I've turned a few for people back home in Louisiana, but it is very soft.
Now if you can get ahold of some cypress knees, they can be interesting. Still soft, but almost burl like in places.

I went and took a look to see what was available. It was actually a Juniper when I looked. I went on the web and I believe it to be a "Skyrocket Juniper" one of those evergreens that look like a giant candle. They cut down a few and have a couple more to go. I grabbed some pieces and to see what they turn like. I will post my results after some turnings.
