Has anyone from the states ever order anything from China???
These are not pen sets and the weight is quite substantial. I am not sure about air freight and was thinking ship. I know it would take quite abit longer but not in a hurry. I was wondering how you go about paying import taxes and any other custom fees???
Discuss shipping with the place sending them.. air may not be much more.. if sending by ship, count on AT LEAST a month or longer for delivery.. fees would be due where you pick the stuff up at, etc.. (post office, courier, etc)

Thanks, it would be about another $1000 by air than by ship. I am in no hurry just don't want to lose out on money or products. I am worried.
Hire a broker on this side and have them work directly with your source in China. Otherwise you could see LOTS of charges mysteriously appear and have many delays in getting the merchandise.
That is what I was thinking too. Do you happen to know of a place????
I've had a good transaction with
APA Logistics, LLC.

Ellen Balog is my contact.
I imported a laser engraver from China and used APA Logistics as well. They were easy to deal with and acted as my customs broker. Ellen even arranged alternate ground shipping for me in the US. Several extra taxes, fees, and charges popped up along the way, but I was expecting that to happen so I wasn't particularly surprised.APA Logistics, LLC.
