I saw an ad in the back of Wood magazine for this company in White Plains NY.
I think it is not too far away. No website that I can find.

Al:

Why don't you get on the Internet and see if that town has a Chamber of Commerce? Then you could send them an electronic inquiry. Hartsdale looks like it might not be too big a place so you might want to do the same for White Plains.

I used to live about 8 miles from Hartsdale as the crow flies; but it was on the other side of the Hudson River and quite a swim!!

Al - Hartsdale, Scarsdale, White Plains, Tarrytown and Yonkers are all in the same area as well as some other cities. I grew up in Yonkers but I don't know any woodworking stores there (it was a long time ago and I wasn't doing any woodworking). You can also easily get to The Bronx from there.

I still go to Yonkers every 2 or 3 years to visit friends. If you need any general info on the area feel free to PM me.

ML Condon has been known as one of the premier exotic wood vendors for years...
high priced, but usually has some very very interesting stock...
Been quite a while since I have been there...

I live right next to the Dutchess county Condon and I can tell you they have some very cool stuff. I have a friend that works there and sometimes he saves me some scaps that I can make pens from, but they are kinda pricey.
Doc as far as a woodworking store I know of nothing in the area, they have a couple of woodcrafts in Conn. for me it is an easy hour and half ride, real crazy I buy all my supplies online. for me paying one of the highest land and school taxes in NY and pretty high in the overall list I sure don't have much of anyplace to shop for supplies. sorry for the rant. good luck on your trip, Purchase college has a woodworking club called chips ahoy that might be interesting for you?
