I thought I had a scrap wood hoarding problem before, but it seems to be amplified ever since I started turning. Every small morsel of wood has potential, including a broken hammer handle!
I found this ball peen years ago in an old barn. I dropped it today and the handle split revealing an interesting bit of spalting. I wish I had a larger kit on hand because most of the spalting was turned out on the slimline. Regardless, I'm happy with the result.
