I know many of us shop at Habor Freight. Just to let everyone know when you go to haborfreight.com and see a special. It is not a special that a store in your area does not run and will not accept the sale price unless you print off the ad. I found out last night with 4" bar clamp req price 3.99 on sale @ 1.99. I was planning to buy 20 of them until the clerk told me he will not honor the price. Only bought 4 to complete the job on hand.

Talked to habor freight today haborfreight.com and haborfreightusa are to seperate companies. On their web site there is no disclaimer of this.

Just make sure you print out everything that you want before going to the store.

Not to hijack the thread, but ... they make a 4" bar clamp? I could use some small bar clamps sometimes - they'd be much less tedius than adjusting a C-clamp or handscrew! Got a link? :)

That is an individual store policy. The HF stores in Little Rock, Arkansas and Springfield, Missouri do honor on-line sales. Just bring a print out of the internet ad. They do want some verification that you are telling the truth.

Why can't they just check it online themselves?

I think it all boils down to them trying to draw you in and NOT give the discount if at all possible.

BTW, I learned that lesson the hard way too.

My Harbor Freight honors the dot com website prices. All you have to do is bring a printed copy of the web site price. As a matter of fact, when I went last week they sold me an item that was on sale at the dot com site but not in their store ... I didn't have a printed copy with me .... and their computer does not have internet access ... they still gave it to me at the lower price.

Dario, at the Little Rock store, I don't believe the employees are capable of doing that. Not a joke.

I agree with Frank's assessment. I've been there, and at the Memphis one, which is the same way. They can look up the prices and inventory of their "retail" store database on their computerized registers, but I don't think they can go online to the HF Online Store through the registers.

So they depend on the customer bringing in a printed out verson of the Online Store, as much for the "discount code" as anything else.

My HF has a computer but it is not online. They have no way of checking HF dot com's prices on line.
