I am posting this here to get max exposure.
Recently I have done 3 group buys.
50 cal BMG pen sets.
Pen Mill sets and heads
Taps and Dies
as fate would have it all of these buys managed to finish up in the last week. sort of dog piling on me.
in the midst of this I have been contacted concerning a couple of problems with bullets in the BMG Buy. I do not feel these problems got resolved.
this last week has been a storm of e-mails, PMs orders going out orders coming in etc. so I have been very prone to some things getting forgotten.
If anyone has a problem with any of there orders please keep pestering me. It is by far my biggest concern that everyone is happy in the end.

Due to my laziness, I haven't gotten around to sending those bullets to you. I have them boxed and ready, just haven't gotten to the post office with them. Do you want me to hold off for another couple weeks until this is behind you?

Daniel;

You're doing a great job coping with overload. Take your time, no one will pass beyond if the don't get their things instantly. That will leave you with fewer mistakes to correct later.

It will probably be a month or two until the shop warms up enough to play with my taps and dies, anyway

I agree wholeheartedly. Take your time. You are doing us all a favor here. I give alot of credit to you and anyone else that sells their product here. And to manage the group buys has got to be a huge undertaking just like that last pen kit buy. Now he has 117 lbs of pens kit coming and there were still backorders I presume.

We are the ones benefitting from your hard work so please take your time and again a huge THANK YOU for doing what you do.

I am also concerned that some of the people trying to order got left out.
here is the situation. i have been getting e-mails that say. I am interested in getting x number of cutter heads if you still have any. so I send a notice for payment on those heads but never don't get the payment. the next day I get another e-mail asking if I have any heads left. well yes and no and maybe I have some I can even sell. anyway it has become a situation that I didn't even know what I had from moment to moment. well everything is now sold and paid for. so that is easy to remember. I messed up on the 50 cals and actually over sold what I had by 5 sets. that was actually easy to fix compaired to over selling pen mill heads.
So it is not so much that I am long term overwhelmed. more like things got to far out of control for my liking for a few days and I know I did not keep up as well as I would like to have. so doing what I can to correct that.

Daniel, If you would spend less time telling us about your problems, you would not have a problem. Fix it with a hammer. Carl

A comment on the hard work. I believe it is a universal truth that you will get out of something according to what you put into it. and this group has not been proven to be an exception to that rule. I know at times some have wondered just how far off my rocker I have gotten. but in the end the friends, acceptance and outright help I have gotten when I have needed it has been unbelievable.
It is never forgotten by me that the very idea of a group buy is completely off the map. I have never forgotten how hard it was to find enough people to trust it to get the very first one done. I always have it in the back of my mind that every new member that sees this idea has that moment of "You gotta be kidding me" these people are doing what? although group buys have become common here. they are anything but common. I never forget that it is trust that is placed in me every time someone places an order. I value that trust. It might be hard work at times. but in my eyes it is all of you that do the impossible part. trusting someone on an internet group enough to send your money in. believing in that person. that is unheard of. But this group has proven itself to be anything but an "internet" group in nearly every way.
I actually prefer to look at it as I "Play" hard.

for what it's worth, as a new member, i was amazed at the group buy concept. as someone who ordered pen mill heads late, i greatly appreciate the amount of effort that must be involved in doing something like this. it is an incredible amount of work and a whole lot of details. delays are inevitable but friends understand and craftsmen can appreciate it. great work and thanks!
